Sorry about the SPD, I had that too and it was no fun. I didn’t know what it was at first, but when I looked up the symptoms on line it was to a tee what I was experiencing. For me the worst was putting on shoes.The chiropractor sounds like a great idea. Fortunately mine got better with time, not worse, so hopefully it will be the same for you.

So glad I’m not the only one! I wasn’t prepared for this since I’d never really looked at girl stuff so closely. I am having much better luck on fabric than ready-made, so I’m going that route, I think. MR’s turned out so cute, but you had to get that made as well. Someone needs to start a not-so-frilly girls’ line.

Katie, figuring out Mary Rollins’ bedding was sooo frustrating!!! I scoured baby stores, the internet, and fabric stores trying to find the perfect balance of feminine but not princess pink. I feel your pain.

YEP! I was actually really relieved we were having a boy because I COULD NOT deal with the rhinestone-encrusted pink phenomenon I see going on. Sickening. Truly. I’ve always gotteng good ideas from Dooce.com, too. Her girls’ nurseries were thrifty, shabby chic, awesome.

I hate the explosion of pink on baby girl decor and clothing (to me the clothing has way too many frills and bows and poofy things). Hope wore quite a few boy items and I didn’t really have a nursery with her, but my grandmother bought a looney tunes bed-in-the-bag and we went with that. With Atticus I found that everything was pale blue and boring or super-testosterone infused; we ended up going with owls and thrifty-finds for our theme (we already had quite a few owlish things around).

I love the colors you chose!

It’s really interesting for me to read about your 2nd pregnancy as I doubt I’ll have one (somehow I think Greyson will be it for me), but it puts me in a state of mind to think of how I would feel and what I would do differently if I did head down this road.

I hope things go smoothly for you from the nursery to the birth. Wishing you peace, my dear!
